640-slice MSCT

The Aquilion One family implements an array of adaptive and integrated dose reduction strategies. These strategies are implemented at every stage of the scanning process starting from patient registration through to data acquisition. It is one of the most revolutionary and advanced scanners and only a handful of these machines are available in Malaysia and the region.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a medical imaging technique used in radiology to investigate the anatomy and physiology of the body in both health and disease. These scanners use strong magnetic fields and radio-waves to form images of the body. The technique is widely used in hospitals for medical diagnosis, staging of disease and for follow-up without exposure to ionizing radiation.

Full-field Digital Mammography

A mammogram that provides highly detailed images of the internal structure of the breast. Mammography plays a central role in the early detection of breast cancer, as it is able to reveal abnormal growths and tumours that are too small for you or the doctor to feel.

DEXA Bone Densitometry

Bone density scanning, also called dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) or bone densitometry, is an enhanced form of x-ray technology that is used to measure bone loss. DXA is today’s established standard for measuring bone mineral density (BMD).

Ultrasound

Ultrasound imaging is also called ultrasound scanning or sonography, a method of obtaining images from inside the human body through the use of high frequency sound waves. The reflected sound wave echoes are converted into a visual image and displayed live on a screen. No radiation (x-ray) is involved in ultrasound imaging.

X-Ray / Fluoroscopy

Uses X-rays to obtain real-time moving images of the internal structures of a patient. In its simplest form, a fluoroscope consists of an x-ray source and fluorescent screen between which a patient is placed. The screen is coupled to an X-ray image intensifier and CCD video camera allowing the images to be recorded and displayed on a monitor and recorded.

Audiology Services

Our Audiology department provides hearing healthcare to patients of all ages (children, adults, and the aging population). We offer a full range of hearing tests, including infant and industrial hearing screening. Newborn hearing screening enables the early detection of hearing problems and can help minimise delays in a child’s ability to learn language. We also offer rehabilitation with hearing aids.
